The alchemy skill is initially obtained by reading an Alchemy Manual purchased from a shopkeeper. You will also need an Alchemy Cauldron which can be purchased from a shopkeeper as well. The more items you alchemize, the higher your alchemy skill will be; you will be able to alchemize better items as your skill increases. Raw materials for alchemy are obtained primarily by slaying monsters and collecting pieces left behind. With the raw materials, you can alchemize many different items, some of them are also sold by shopkeepers, but many can only be obtained through alchemy.
